Ricky, Abby and their two children live in Newcastle. They are a strong, loving family in which everyone stands up for each other. While Ricky ekes out a living with odd jobs, Abby works as a geriatric nurse. However, no matter how hard they try, they know that they will never be independent or have their own home. But then it's now or never! Thanks to the digital revolution, Ricky has an opportunity! Abby and he put all their eggs in one basket. She sells her car so that Ricky can afford a delivery van and start out as a self-employed courier driver. The future seems tempting.
