Ursula Werner (born 28.9.1943), actress and dubbing artist. After studying at the Staatliche Schauspielschule Berlin, now the Hochschule der Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, her first engagements took her to the cabaret Die Distel in Berlin and to the Landestheater in Halle an der Saale. From 1974 to 2009 she was a permanent ensemble member of the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin. At DEFA, she is particularly remembered for her role as Doctor Unglaube in the film "Ein irrer Duft von frischem Heu" (1977). After a few smaller roles, she played the lead in Andreas Dren's "Wolke 9" in 2008, for which she was awarded the German Film Prize.
